This Privacy & Security Policy (“Policy”) applies to https://www.aclasschimney.com/ and any webpage that links to it (the “Website”), as well as information collected when you request a quote, contact us, schedule service, communicate with us, or become a customer through the Website.

A Class Chimney LLC, doing business online as A Class Chimney & Roofing (“A Class Chimney,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), is the controller responsible for the personal information described in this Policy. This Policy does not replace the terms of a signed quote, contract, warranty, or payment authorization.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Contact information, such as your name, telephone number, email address, mailing address, service address, and preferred contact method.
• Service and property information, such as the type of service requested, appointment availability, property access details, descriptions of chimney, fireplace, roof, masonry, water-intrusion, or ventilation concerns, and photographs or videos you choose to provide.
• Quote, contract, and customer records, including estimates, invoices, signed agreements, change orders, warranties, permits, inspection information, payment status, and records of services performed.
• Communications, including emails, text messages, web-form submissions, customer-service notes, reviews, and telephone-call information. If calls are recorded, we will provide any notice and obtain any consent required by applicable law.
• Payment-related information. Payments may be handled by an independent payment processor. The Website does not ask you to enter complete payment-card information into its contact form. We do not intentionally store your full payment-card number or card security code on the Website.

The Website uses cookies, pixels, scripts, local storage, and similar technologies. Some are necessary for Website operation and security; others help us understand Website use and the source of customer inquiries. Current Website technologies may include:

Your choices. You may use the Website cookie controls where available and may block or delete cookies through your browser. Blocking certain technologies may affect Website functionality. Where required by law, we will provide an opt-out mechanism and honor legally recognized universal opt-out preference signals. Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not uniform; we respond to them only where required by law.

5. How We Disclose Information

We do not sell personal information for money. We may disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described below:

• Service providers and processors that support website hosting, security, analytics, communications, call routing or attribution, scheduling, invoicing, payment processing, cloud storage, bookkeeping, legal services, insurance, or business operations. Current Website-related providers include Google, Cloudflare, YouTube, and Maskyoo.
• Technicians, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, permitting authorities, and other project participants when needed to quote, schedule, perform, document, or complete requested work.
• Professional advisers, insurers, financial institutions, collection providers, auditors, courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other authorities when reasonably necessary for administration, claims, compliance, legal process, or protection of rights, safety, or property.
• A buyer, successor, lender, or adviser in connection with a proposed or completed merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections where required.
• Other parties at your direction or with your consent.

We do not currently knowingly sell personal data or process personal data for targeted advertising as those terms are defined by applicable Connecticut or Rhode Island privacy law. If that practice changes, we will update this Policy and provide any required notice and opt-out method before the change applies.

6. Communications, Telephone Calls, Email, and Text Messages

If you provide contact information, we may contact you to respond to your inquiry, prepare or discuss a quote, schedule or confirm service, communicate about a project, collect an amount due, or provide other requested or transactional information. We may use telephone, email, or text message as appropriate.

We will send promotional emails or automated marketing text messages only when permitted by law. You may opt out of promotional email using the unsubscribe method in the message. You may opt out of marketing texts by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply. Opting out of marketing does not prevent necessary non-marketing communications about an active request, appointment, contract, payment, safety issue, or legal notice.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing requested services, maintaining warranty and project histories, meeting tax and accounting requirements, resolving disputes, collecting amounts due, enforcing agreements, preventing fraud, and complying with legal, licensing, insurance, and recordkeeping obligations.

Retention periods vary by record type and may depend on the length of the customer relationship, the nature and status of the work, applicable limitation periods, legal holds, and provider settings. When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we will delete, destroy, or de-identify it in a manner appropriate to its sensitivity, subject to lawful backup and archival cycles.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for our business and the information we handle. These may include HTTPS transmission, access controls, limited personnel access, account and device protections, secure payment processors, provider oversight, backups, updates, and incident-response procedures.

No website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security. Do not send Social Security numbers, driver’s-license or passport numbers, payment-card details, bank login credentials, medical information, or other highly sensitive information through the Website contact form, ordinary email, or text message. Contact us to arrange an appropriate method if such information is legitimately required.

9. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on your state of residence and whether a particular law applies to us, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of certain personal information; to obtain information about processing; and to opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. We may deny or limit a request when an exception applies—for example, when information must be retained for a contract, warranty, payment, tax, fraud-prevention, safety, legal-claim, or other lawful purpose. If applicable law provides an appeal right, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.”

10. Connecticut Residents

The Connecticut Data Privacy Act may provide covered consumers with access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-out rights. Coverage depends on statutory conditions and exceptions. We will honor Connecticut rights and universal opt-out signals to the extent required.

11. Massachusetts Residents

If we possess information covered by Massachusetts General Laws chapter 93H and 201 CMR 17.00, we will maintain required safeguards and provide legally required breach notifications. This public Policy is not the Company’s internal written information security program.

12. Rhode Island Residents

A Class Chimney LLC is the controller. We will provide Rhode Island access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-out rights to the extent applicable. We do not currently sell personal information or knowingly use it for targeted advertising as defined by Rhode Island law.

13. Children’s Privacy

The Website is intended for adults seeking property services and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 submitted personal information through the Website, contact us so we can review and, when appropriate, delete it.

14. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Website may link to or embed third-party websites, maps, videos, payment pages, review platforms, or social-media services. Those third parties control their own privacy and security practices. This Policy does not apply to a third party’s independent collection or use of information. Review the third party’s privacy notice before providing information.
